Cedars at Cobble Hill
Cedars at Cobble Hill is a residential addiction treatment centre on Vancouver Island that provides a multidisciplinary approach to treating substance use disorders and process additions. Cedars employs 90 staff across multiple functions and disciplines. Carson McPherson is Cedars’ Managing Director and has seven Directors on his leadership team. Carson had this to say about Cedars and Work Innovation Partners.
“I want Cedars to be a place where people come to work feeling empowered, respected, and impassioned. I had a new leadership team and needed everyone to understand our organizational objectives, our strategic priorities, and to co-create the kind of organization we want to be. Work Innovation Partners had a unique approach that wasn’t the one-size-fits-all approach I’ve experienced in the past. They worked with our entire leadership team to understand who they were, what their goals were as individuals, and how that impacted their roles and vision. They ensured everyone was able to participate, grow, and shape the future of Cedars.
The biggest change we’ve seen is the collaboration and integration within our leadership team. We were good before, but I think we’ve really hit a new stride. As leaders, we understand the clarity and alignment that’s required between each other, and how we can support each other. There’s been a shift for us at Cedars and it’s rewarding to see everyone come together in a short time. The Work Innovation Partners process, being so customized, has really helped us gain traction right away.
The feedback from our team has been phenomenal. Everyone feels empowered, feels like they’ve been heard, and is clear and aligned on what their objectives are and how they impact the organization. We’ve discovered and implemented value-added changes that will build on our success, not only for today but for the future.” - Carson McPherson, Managing Director, Cedars at Cobble Hill
